It is no doubt that environmental health is a necessary aspect of sustainability and success in all areas of life including, the areas of the business workplace, world politics, and within the socio-economic affairs of a country.
Environmental health is a brunch of public health that serves to draw emphasis on the promotion of human health and wellness, while focusing on the relationship human beings have with the environment.
Greenspaces SA, a company founded and directed by Sakhele Ndabeni, has taken initiative to advocate for and promote environmental health in the vast spaces that they find themselves occupying. “Environmental health is about promoting green consciousness in the spaces that surround us,” says Ndabeni. Greenspaces SA is serving a relevant purpose as it thrives to educate people in all fields about green consciousness as per their mission in promoting environmental health and wellness. It is also important that the world understands that the promotion of environmental health and wellness is not limited to the physical space, it also involves the advocacy for wellness within the business space in the workplace. Supporting mental health is also a way of ensuring a healthy work environment, argued Ndabeni. To a large degree, it is fitting to say that the success of the business counts on its workers’ overall wellness.
Greenspaces SA is an environmental entity that seeks to advocate for global wellness and spread green energy! Coming up soon is the Africa green tour project, which is a cycle tour led by Greenspaces SA and it aims to promote health and wellness in a range of ways including, addressing issues of xenophobia in conversation. The destination event will be hosted in various cities including, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Gqebegha (Port Elizabeth). Dates are to be confirmed.
Something else to look forward to is the upcoming podcast that Greenspaces SA is to launch, and host titled, OnTheGreenCouchActivationPodcast, which is a platform where discussion and discourse relating to environmental awareness, as well as environmental health/wellness are to be explored.
